Well that was £6m well spent. What a ridiculous vanity project.

I saw this in the paper and the colour coding does make the map easier to understand so I think it’s a good idea. I’m not sure how many people will use the line names though.

I'm not sure how well they'll catch on either. Only time shall tell.

Pretty strong salvo in the culture wars though, of which I approve. Just don't make the mistake of asking your friendly LTDA black cab driver what he thinks of it.

What a load of codswallop.

Goblin already has a representative name. So does the third rail. What about the Windrush has anything to do with the Windrush generation? Suffragette and Liberty? Huh?

I like a thick spread of political correctness on my toast as much as anybody but this is laying it on with a trowel.

It won't last.

Although my leanings are fairly clear from my previous post, I agree that it is a bit heavy handed and some of the names aren't in the least bit catchy, even if very worthy. I'm all for clearer mapping too.

I know what Londoners are like with names, and I fully expect these to be shortened to one syllable each. Especially when things go mammary glands over teacup.

Just wait until some bright spark starts moaning about sufferin' on the suffy. Or any number of lovely expressions. Can't wait to see what they do with weaver..
