London Mid-Price with 3 people

We are traveling to the UK next November - myself, my husband, and my 16 year old. We have looked at a million Air B&Bs online and are wanting more of a service based place to stay in London. Does any one have any recommendations for a very central place to stay in London that will fit three people and run $300 to $400 per night? We are staying in Old Town Chambers Apartments in Edinburgh on the front end of our trip. Something like that would be perfect. Thanks ahead of time!

You don't have to spend $300-400 a night anywhere, much less London.
We usually stay in the Bayswater-Kensington area on the north end of Hyde Park.
The underground connections are great, and it's a safe part of the city. Paddington train station is also close by to catch the 15 minute Heathrow Express train to the airport.
Accommodations can be found on Booking.com. I also often pull up Google Maps and put in "London Bayswater Hotels" and little icons of beds pop up on the map with prices. Click on them, and you can read all about the properties.
I think we paid about $110 for a decent room 100' from Hyde Park and an underground station in May, 2018.

You might have a look at the Luna Simone Hotel, which is in the Victoria Station area so very convenient for transportatiom. The rooms are clean and comfortable, they serve a nice breakfast and the family that owns it are wonderful. One point to note is that they do not have an elevator or air conditioning (I'm sure the latter won't be a problem in November).

So glad that you included your actual budget. This is so much more informative than “mid-priced”.
Your mid-priced is higher than my high end price so I don’t have much to share from personal experience. I do wish you the very best of trips.

The London Elizabeth Hotel, two minute walk to Lancaster Gate tube station, across the street from Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens.

The following two chains are apartment-hotels:

Citadines

Fraser Suites

Their rooms are apartments including kitchens but have a 24 front desk and buffet breakfast is available.

Stay away from the Residence Inn Kensington. It is horrible.

I have very little experience in London, but do have a bit. My tip related to lower-priced lodging is just to pay close attention to the number of square feet in a listing. I remember one budget room which was just over $100 was listed as 43 sq ft, ridiculous! At least they were willing to share that reality. I found I could get about 5 times the space and 5 times the quality for 2 times the cost. For a short stay, I could easily afford that and was very happy I did.

We just stayed in Brentford, just on the back door of Hammersmith. 6 Miles to the city I believe.
Place was called Urban Villa, but now it is called Adagio (Sp?) Hotel. It's a high rise right in Brentford,
full coffee shop and bistro in the lobby. Also has a Sainsburys right outside the door. They are full apartments
with Ovens, Microwaves, Dishes, Utensils, Refrigerator, etc....... so you have everything you need to get by.
The price was WAY less than you are willing to pay, and its super clean
