London Meet Up in October- anyone want to have coffee or a quick dinner?

Well, usually I am able to figure out who we might be crossing paths with in upcoming travels and I send out a message or two. But right now there are so many people traveling that I've totally lost track.

So I'm trying this! We're in London Oct 17 - 23. Do any forum members want to meet for a casual meal or coffee??

Our past meetups - Paris, Istanbul, Stuttgart - they've always been fun and it's great to meet forum members:)

very interesting.

Probably mid-day so I can avoid rush hours.

Too far out for me at the moment to plan

Fun idea, *Valerie"! I might have to watch your posts for future international meetups so that we can finally sit down for coffee together! I'm sorry to miss this one as I'll be home between trips.

@Nigel - Heck, we owe you a coffee/tea for sure, given all the train questions you've answered for me over the years! Reach out via PM if you think it might work out and we'll figure something out. We've got some open spaces on a couple of our visit days!

We're doing a Gate 1 Discovery tour and adding on a bit of extra Warsaw so we'll be in Poland from Sept 28 to Oct 15.

Valerie, I’ll be leaving Poland on 9/27 or 9/28. I’m flying in around 9/13. Not sure of that date yet. I’m taking the RS tour with girlfriends.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays ought to work for me for the foreseeable future, would you let me know closer to the date and I can plan?
I appreciate you reaching out to the rest of us!

To those who wanted me to post later and maybe we can set something up - will do! I realize now that it’s a little early - it just didn’t seem like it was early to me since I was heading out of SeaTac to France. But I do see, now, that we won’t be in London for over three weeks:)

I know you'll be working to different time frames. It's bound to be. Due to the rail strikes I don't book anything that involves a train more than two weeks away currently.

All right, I am starting this up again now that our London arrival is imminent!

I was thinking either late afternoon on the 17th - which is pretty last minute, I know.

Or anytime on Sunday the 22nd?

We’re staying about a half mile from Victoria Station.

Any chance any of you posters are around? We always enjoy our meet-ups:)

I'm not now in London until around 7pm (add an hour onto that for bad luck) on my way from the Lake District to Exeter via Manchester. I was originally meant to be 3 hours earlier than that, but have added time on in Manchester after getting very stressed last week in heavy traffic in South Manchester. I have a cemetery visit to do there, and need time to find what I have been sent there to do a condition report on, as no one has an exact location in a very big Cemetery.

Wish I could be there! But if anyone is around mid-March of next year, I'd love to meet up!

As it was I could have made it for late afternoon. On my 6th train of the day, and so far everything is running on time, and my visit in Manchester ran to time as well. That will jinx the next train now!!

So I was 3 hours early at one stage.

But I had time for a personal trip to Mum's roots, one of the villages of urban Manchester which this Manchester/North East Cheshire lad hasn't been to for over 50 years apparently. A plan I was writing this morning as I travelled.
