London - Leadenhall Market

I will be traveling in London and plan to go to the Leadenhall Market the first day I arrive in London to get over jet lag and walk around and have a bite to eat. Has anyone been to The Lamb Tavern in Leadenhall Market?

Have you been there Claudia? I am curious to know if people liked the pub and the food. Thanks.

Yes I've been there but not for food. It's 3 stories. Nice views of Leadenhall. Usually crowded.

As much as I love Leadenhall Market ( especially at Christmas) this is where I go for pub grub when I'm in the area. http://www.the-counting-house.com

Short walk. Gorgeous pub. Always know what I'm getting at a Fuller owned pub food wise.

Thank you Claudia! I will go to the Counting House instead. I have been to the Counting House, when I was in London last, which was in 2005.

You are welcome but take note and confirm by checking their website for opening hours. I think it might be closed Saturday and Sunday. Just in case you are arriving on one of those days.

If you want to walk off the jet lag after your Leadenhall Market visit the lovely Art Deco pub, the Blackfriar which is about a 20-25 minute walk. I know they are open. It's a Nicholson owned pub.

Thanks for all the info! Landing on a Tuesday. But always nice to have options and will be in London for while I am making notes.
