London Itinerary - Need Feedback! - (Solo Trip - 1st time)

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sWpzNQdiSALq0RJYxw2EqZ1CQRA6SXpwnlEsMyFv8/edit?usp=sharing

Hey! I’m looking for feedback on my updated London itinerary (December before Christmas). I posted here a few weeks ago and adjusted it based on your helpful suggestions.

A bit about me:
- Creative director who loves museums and galleries
- Looking to see all the must-visit London hotspots in a snapshot (not planning in-depth tours)
- I eat vegan
- Solo traveler, 30 years old

Questions I had:
1. What am I missing?
2. Does this seem doable & will I be getting a good snapshot of London?
3. I plan to bounce between tube, bus, rail, walk... any recommendations on transit?
4. Any nighttime activity suggestions? Lights, historic pubs, etc. (no clubs)

Thanks!

I am not one to work with spread pages or google docs but I would suggest the V & A Museum and Trafalger Square / National Gallery. Perhaps you have already included them and I apologize if you have but like I said, I am not one to work with spread sheets.

I can’t open Google docs so I cannot see your itinerary, but I assume it includes the Victoria and Albert, and the Design Museum.

https://designmuseum.org/

You will need advance tickets to see the special exhibits at this museum (“The World of Tim Button” and “Barbie”), but the rest is free.

For nighttime activities, I suggest a ride on the Thames Clipper boats to see the Illuminated River fart installation:

https://illuminatedriver.london/

In theory, they offer special tours with narration each Saturday evening, but do not list a current schedule for that. They do offer photography courses on two Wednesdays in December. But you can also just use the boats for a ride up or downriver on their regular commuter service. It is a great way to move east-west around London. can see the regular daily and weekend schedule and routes here:

As for vegan dining, London may be one of the best places in the world for variety. Lots of the Indian restaurants offer vegan dishes, but also check menus on gastropubs. The Ivy restaurants usually have a vegan/vegetarian menu and there are several scattered around London:

For something upscale and creative, try Ottolenghi’s Rovi, an all-vegetable restaurant:

Hey! Thanks for the replies. I am going to post a text only itinerary tomorrow.

Apologize for using Google Sheets link - thought it would be easier to view!

I don’t know if you have already tried to get Christmas at Kew tickets or not. It may be all sold out at this point but I would give it a try. As a creative director I think you would enjoy the most amazing and creative light spectacle that I have ever seen.

I’ll only look at a spreadsheet if someone is paying me to at work. :-)

Perhaps you could ask some specific questions that we could answer?

I know we all gave quite a lot of detailed feedback previously but happy to answer any specifics.

Some of the large museums are open until 8 PM one night a week (frequently--maybe always--on Friday). And of course there's the theatre.

The Victoria and Albert Museum and the Design Museum are two different places.

`Yes, I know they are two different places, as my comma between them indicates. I only posted the link to the Design Museum so Matthew could check out the special exhibits currently on offer, and decide if he wanted to get tickets.

And after I wrote that part, I went and looked at his previous itinerary post and saw the V&A is already on it, so I saw no need to add a link for that museum.

On arrival day, if the flight arrives later than the scheduled time of 7am or immigration is slower than normal, be prepared to sacrifice breakfast if need be to make Mina Lima on time. If the Elizabeth line is having a bad day be prepared to take the Pic Line into town- it won't take much longer.
On the Saturday I am concerned about the meeting ending at 1.45 and being at HP at 4pm. You have allowed 30 minutes after the meeting then 35 minutes from Soho to Watford Junction- which allows no waiting time for a train at Euston or for the bus at Watford or service perturbation. You need to leave the hotel/meeting location at 1.45, not 2.15 IMO.

On Departure day I am very queasy about leaving your hotel at 6.45 am for a 10.05 flight. That needs to be an hour earlier IMO to arrive at LHR 3 hours before flight time.

I pointed out the situation with the two museums because there's no comma in the spreadsheet, and I was afraid Matthew thought it was one place.

OK. I never looked at the spreadsheet (I do not open Google docs from strangers), and the comma I am talking about was in my post that mentioned both museums—-as two separate museums. But it appears you were addressing Matthew, not me. So apparently a misunderstanding.
