London | Interested in catching a football match | things to do near White Hart Lane?

On our 3rd and last day in London Tottenham is up against Leicester City (October 29) . I'm only a casual premier league fan but this seems like a great time to me, so I'm considering getting tickets via stubhub or similar.

Curious if you folks have any advice, or ideas near the stadium White Hart Lane, or if we should just plan to arrive near game time and head back towards the city center post match.

Do Spurs have an official relationship with Stubhub? If not, do not buy tickets on Stubhub, as there is a chance they will not be genuine. Check Spurs' website now - the team site should always be your main source for tickets, and if you can't get them then you're out of luck unless you want to pay for corporate hospitality. Do not risk resellers or touts.

Hi, thanks for the reply. They do appear to have a relationship based on the Spurs website.

If, and it's a big if, you can get tickets just arrive before kick off then head back into central London, unless you fancy drinking in the local pubs, which will be heaving.

Good luck getting tickets. A recent report said that, across the entire Premiere League for the season that finished in late spring, attendance was around 97 per cent of capacity. And Leister are the reigning champs. I'm looking forward to this tilt between very aspiring teams but I won't be any closer than the TV clicker at home. If you make it, good for you; it will be memorable.

I'm a Chelsea fan and go to London every year to see a match. I actually JOINED the football club so I can use their own web-based exchange service. Otherwise, getting tickets would be a bear. Yes, there are always touts selling tickets outside the gates on match day, but I would HIGHLY recommend not doing that. And no, StubHub doesn't have affiliations with any Premiership teams that I know of. There's a related outfit, called ticketbis... I found a link via safetickets, here: http://safetickets.net/en/champions-league-2016-2017-parken-nov-2/481963

Awesome! I was about to reply that yes, Tottenham indeed has a relationship with Stubhub UK, and there are several pubs near the stadium where you can enjoy a pint. Follow the crowd. I seem to recall one just off the main road in front of the stadium past the borough hall. Very crowded, but a lot of fun.
