London in the Fall for 8

Hello all,
I am desperately searching for a flat to rent that would house 8 people comfortably Don't need lots of bells and whistles but
a decent, clean place. Have looked on all suggested sites. Looking for suggestions for area and which tube line is the best
to be near. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking to rent in October.

I know you said "all suggested sites" but as I don't know exactly what sites that statement includes, here is my favorite: www.LondonConnection.com. We have rented from them 3 times and service is excellent.

We have done very well in London with the TripAdvisor Vacation Rental site. Putting in 8 people on random dates in October, I saw many options, including this one in Greenwich with a river view:

It may be difficult to find anything affordable right in central London to house a group of that size, but with good Tube connections you can consider outlying areas. Our most recent rental was a modern spacious “sleeps 6” with river view downriver from Tower Bridge and we were very happy, although many might consider this out of the tourist path.

A house would work better as PP has pointed out, a house in a nearby suburb near transport might be an idea. I know someone who rented a house in Greenwich and another who rented in Hounslow.

Unless you are willing to rent two flats, I doubt one will be large enough for your group.

Try Ownersdirect.co.uk and Cottages.com and put in your search criteria. I have used both companies in the past and they are two of the biggest rental companies across the UK. Most rentals on these sites will be for 7 days or more usually from a Saturday to Saturday but it is not always the case. You just have to check each offering. It is easy to book with either company on line with a CC. A non-refundable small deposit is usually required. These sites may give you more offerings for 8 people. You could stay a little outside of London and train in. It will be cheaper for sure. I always book a cottage when I am taking a large group back to the UK with me. When you split the cost it is very economical.

You'll struggle to find a flat to house 8 people comfortably. As others have suggested, a house in the suburbs is a far more practical solution.
