London Hotels

How long in advance should I book hotel room in London? We’re doing the Best of Ireland tour finishing in early May and are planning on flying to London for 5 days after the tour.

Book ASAP, but book a reservation with free cancellation. Then, check every once in awhile to see if a better option exists.

I always book hotels as soon as I have the air tickets. For London I usually stay in Premier Inns, not charming, but good value for the money. There are several in London so you can probably find one in any section of the city you prefer. Good bathrooms, good bed, clean room, elevators. I don't usually buy their breakfast, but I have had dinner at the hotel and it was surprisingly good. As suggested, be sure to reserve one with a cancellation possibility.

I like to have my reservations done at least a couple of months before. Love South Kensington area, The Ampersand is a nice hotel in a great location.
