London Hotel Suggestions- close to train station?

My mother and I are taking a trip to Europe and leaving on August 14th. We are flying from Seattle to London Heathrow Airport and are planning on staying in London for 4-5 nights. We are trying to find a hotel that is easy to get to from Heathrow (meaning close to a train/tube station and that is close or easily accessible to the St. Pancras train station as well.

We are going to be taking the Eurostar to Amsterdam after we are done visiting London and don't want to be in a hurry to get there so it would be great to stay in a hotel that is close by. So far the hotels we were considering were the Megaro Hotel in St. Pancras, The Ampersand Hotel in Kensington, and The Rembrandt in Knightsbridge area. All the hotels seem to be in good locations and get decent reviews online.

Any suggestions on hotels would be extremely helpful. I want to try and book a hotel within the next week or so and make sure I am not booking us somewhere far away and inaccessible with transporting luggage.

Thanks!

There is nowhere in central London that is not near a tube station. If you want near St Pancras station (which is also a tube station, as all "main line" stations are), there are many along Southampton Row/Russell Square, which is one tube stop, or a short bus ride (easier with luggage) from St Pancras.
One chain of cheap (for London) hotels to look at (no better or worse rhan others) is: https://www.imperialhotels.co.uk/en/

I would concentrate more on a hotel that is convenient to whatever activities you plane for 4-5 days in London. It's worth spending a little more to take a taxi to or from a tube/train with luggage once or twice and being well-positioned for several days.

I have stayed at the Great Northern next door to Kings Cross - St. Pancras (Eurostar station). I have also stayed at St. Pancras Renaissance. Both are great - you take the Picadillly line from Heathrow get off the tube and you are there and Kings Cross is a great tube station to get to other places. St. Pancras is a tad expensive but they have a great club room so that if you book a room with that access you can cut out the cost of breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner their food selection is that good. The Great Northern is across the street from the St. Pancras and slightly cheaper.

I am actually looking at the Megaro for myself because we are a party of three this time round. The area around Kings Cross is nice and walkable.

On my last trip to London which was business related I needed to stay near Paddingon as I was headed out to Didcot near Oxford every day for three days. I stayed at the company recommended hotel, the Colonnade, and really enjoyed it. It's easy tube connection to St. Pancreas and is a very short cab ride--or walk when you've ditched the luggage to the hotel. I particularly enjoyed having dinner nearby at a restaurant on the canal.
