London hotel recommendations for family of 4

Hey fellow wanderers. My family of four (me and my husband + our two 13 year twin girls) will be going to London in mid-March for five or six nights. Looking at the neighborhoods of Belgravia, South Kensington or North London. Would appreciation your hotel/B&B recommendations.

Will be focusing our visit on theatre but also a few museums and just walking around.

Thanks!

For a 6-night stay with a family, I suggest a serviced apartment (aka Aparthotel). These are nice fully-furnished apartments in a building with hotel services—-24-hour front desk, maybe breakfast, laundry facilities (for a fee), etc. And none of the uncertainties of an AirBnB owner rental apartment.

And with your focus on theatre, you might add the Covent Garden/West End neighborhood to your location list. Then you could walk to most theatres, avoiding the Tube. That is what we like to do, anyway.

One possibility would be the Citadines Serviced. Apartments by Trafalgar Square, within walking distance of Wynham’s, Duke of York, Odeon, and many others, plus Covent Garden. And close to Hungerford Bridge with the Jubilee Pedestrian Bridges giving easy access to the South Bank area near the London Eye, and the Embankment Pier for Thames Clipper transport (which is our favorite way to get around when we aren’t walking).

The Girl Guides and Girl Scouts run a hostel called Pax Lodge in Hampstead, North London. They're very experienced with that age group and many volunteer staff members are 18-20 years old, have some fun activities for that age group sometimes, and no one in your family has to be a member of scouts or guides. All are welcome.

There's a button at the top to book a room and the whole calendar scrolls down.

It's right next to Air Studios, several main buses stop at the corner, and a pub with good dinners is right across the street. There's a kitchen for guests to use, and there's a grocery store 2 blocks down the hill. THe buses that stop at that corner were at least #24 (to Trafalgar Square) and 268 and 168 (to the Southbank and more). They all went through Camden. Popular shopping place for the volunteers and staff.

This is a video of the walk from the bus stop at the corner (where Air Studios is) to Pax Lodge's front door.

I've volunteered there in 2011 for 2 months, and now I volunteer on the World Foundations for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts' committee Friends of Pax Lodge.

There were many renovations done recently, and there's also coin operated laundry machines available for guests as well.
