So I'm looking for hotel options in either the Bayswater or Victoria Station neighborhoods for the end of June 2017. Most seem to be booked already. Really? I didn't want to commit until I knew for sure when my Stonehenge tickets will be, but I may have to anyway. Any recommendations for those areas to try? Budget is under 160 GDP per night. Thanks!
I suspect that it's not that they are all full already, but rather that the bookings aren't ready. Or something huge is happening the week that you are traveling. I tried to use this website to look for you, but it would let me enter any dates later than the first week of June 2017. Were you emailing the hotels directly or using one of the services?
I also just tried Trivago and a lot of London hotels came up. You'll have to look up to check location, but you should find something. The Thistle Hyde Park might work. Mind you I didn't check reviews.

You may be running in to hotels that aren't taking reservations that far in advance. I've stayed twice at The Lime Tree Hotel on Ebury Street just a couple of blocks from Victoria. Their single rooms are in your price range and include a nice English Breakfast. I did do a dummy booking and their website is showing availability. Rick's London book also gives a number of hotels in this area.
I suspect the reason you're not finding any vacancies is that you're trying to book too early. I'd suggest waiting for a month or two, and then try again.
Do you need suggestions for hotels in the Victoria Station area?
Thanks! Those thoughts on what it could be make me feel better. That I'm just too early rather than late. I did it both ways, so I'll wait to hear back. And hopefully be able to wait on Stonehenge, as when we go there will change our whole itinerary.
We've stayed twice at the Kensington Gardens Hotel in Bayswater, and like it just fine. It doesn't have a lift, if that's a problem. The first time we stayed there, I was not able to reserve a room until about 3 or 4 months before the trip. I think this last year we were able to reserve sooner than that.
Here's my most recent post on the KG Hotel:
We like the Kensington Gardens Hotel in Bayswater. It's clean, a good
breakfast is available at their sister hotel next door, and it's near
2 tube stops. The price is right, as well. The price has gone up a bit
since we stayed there last year, as the hotel is being remodeled, but
is still in your price range, or close, especially if you book
on-line. The on-line price does not include breakfast, but even paying
extra for breakfast this place is a bargain. Here's a link to my
original review:
https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/england-reviews/kensington-gardens-hotelI'm not sure that link will work, but you can "search" for Kensington
Gardens in the search box, and there will be my review, as well as
some updates that I and others have posted. (Even if the link works,
use "search" for updates.) We liked the hotel well enough that we are
staying there again later this spring.
The room rate this year ranged from £89 to £100 or so. If you book directly with the hotel the rates are higher, but breakfast is included; if you book online it is considerably cheaper, but breakfast is £6 or £7, and well worth it.
Thanks so much! Will definitely look into it.
We just returned from a stay at the Artist Residence in the Victoria Station neighborhood. Loved it.
I wouldn't look at hotels until 9 months out - perhaps October. No first hand experience, but a quick look reveals this well reviewed and well located hotel that may fall within your budget.

Check out Rick Steve's suggestions. This May we stayed at the Luna Simone about a 10 minute walk from Victoria Station.
You are way, way, way.............. too.......... early. Relax, thing about in January. Best Western annex near Victoria Station is decent choice in that price range.
One of Rick's recommendations in the Victoria area is the Cherry Court Hotel which we have booked for Sept. Haven't stayed yet, so can't speak from experience but we're paying 75 GBP per night. http://www.cherrycourthotel.co.uk/
