I fly into LHR on a Saturday morning and need to be in Oxford Sunday evening. I am looking for a hotel near a train station that is easily accessible to LHR and Oxford.
Seems the Paddington Station area is a good option. Hotel suggestions? or thoughts on staying in that area? My last time in London was 20 years ago.
Appreciate any guidance.

Have you considered the Airline bus from LHR central bus station directly to Oxford? I took it a couple years ago and it was great.

If you want to be in London on your arrival day, I'd take the Elizabeth line or HEX to Paddington and find a hotel nearby. There are trains out of Paddington to Oxford.
You can look at booking.com. for hotels that meet your requirements. But my choice would be the Paddington Premier Inn, because I've found the chain to be very dependable in their quality.

Unless you really have to be in London, taking the direct coach to Oxford and spending a weekend there sounds like a great option. Otherwise, find a hotel close to Paddington station.
