When a hotel in London quotes a "double" bed or room, what does that translate to in American terms. Queen? King? Other?
Thanks.
It's a bed for two people. The actual size varies per hotel.
A double bed is just for two people - sometimes (even though it probably isn't meant to be) it's two singles joined together.
They might then talk about Double Queen size or Double King, but what that actually means varies
On a recent trip to London, a double in two hotels was a queen and one hotel was a king.
