1 hour 20 minutes (or a bit more some trains) on a direct train from London Victoria straight to Worthing.

By Friday morning do you mean tomorrow?

From Heathrow, Piccadilly Tube line to Barons Court, cross the platform to the District Line to Victoria. Upstairs, into the station, and get a train mentioned above to Worthing.

There is no useful bus. National Express run from Worthing to Heathrow with several overnight/early morning departures, and several evening/late night departures from Heathrow after 6pm.
In the daytime the service is hourly Heathrow to Brighton only taking 2 hrs 15 minutes, as the service bus #700 runs onward every 12 minutes, on its very long trip along the coast to Portsmouth- a one hour trip Brighton to Worthing.
Uber would be a 74 mile, 90 minute trip.
An Off Peak Day Single on the Train is £40, plus £5.80 tube fare.
The bus is £31.50 + the local bus at £3.
When it runs National Express to Worthing (beyond Brighton) is £18.90!!
