London Heathrow to City of Westminster

My family of 5 will traveling to London in August. Wanted to get recommendations on what would be the best/easiest way to get to our Airbnb in the City of Westminster from Heathrow? We’ll obviously have our luggage and will be traveling with toddler/stroller. Any advice on taxi, Uber, train would be great!

Where are you staying? The "City of Westminster" is a whole borough (much like NYC's Manhattan) and the best way to get to your airbnb will depend on where it is.

@ jeff

We are staying off Victoria street in between Westminster Abby and Westminster Cathedral

Strutton Ground and Victoria st are cross streets.

Piccadilly line to Barons Court, cross platform change to the District line, get off at St James's Park.

I think your easiest option would be a cab. It'll cost around £100, depending on traffic. Uber might cost a little less but they can't use bus lanes so it might take longer.

Any train option would require a change. The cheapest and I think best option by train would be to take the Piccadilly line (dark blue on the maps) from Heathrow to Barons Court, then there's a cross-platform interchange to the District Line (green on the maps, destination Upminster) to St James Park. The cross platform interchange should be step free but St James Park is stairs-only. You can also get out at Victoria Station step-free and walk or take a taxi.

The other train line that serves the airport is the Elizabeth Line but it doesn't have any good connections to the area where you're staying.

With that much luggage and toddler/stroller, I would suggest you consider a pre-booked car service.

They meet you as you exit customs and drop you in front of your Airbnb. You will also know the price before you book.

Two companies recommended on this forum are Blackberry Cars and Just Airports. They should be cheaper than a cab.
