London - Harry Potter & the Cursed Child Tickets

Has anyone had any luck getting Cursed Child Tickets???

I'll be visiting London at the end of May 2018 (over the bank holiday weekend) and I am trying to find tickets to Cursed Child. They are sold out online and the official ticket website says any tickets sold via a third party are void, so that rules out purchasing them on Stubhub or similar sites, right? What are the chances I can buy tickets over the phone from the box office? Should I just give up now? I see the 'Friday Forty' ticket option, but I have a feeling those are also hard to come by, but I haven't tried so I could be wrong and might try that as a last resort. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Your chances of phoning up and getting a ticket are zero.

The Friday Forty is not just a last resort, it's your only resort - unless more tickets come on sale.

However you are visiting over a holiday weekend, which also coincides with a school half-term break so...

Every Harry Potter fan in the world wants to see this play. So that gives you a sense of the demand for tickets!

We have tickets for our trip in October. I will tell you that the person who got them did it by checking the site over and over and over again and grabbing them one at a time as they came available. I have no idea why randomly they showed up, but... if you want just keep checking!

Carol if you don't me asking, who did you get them from? Did you buy them from a third party site or was it someone you knew (perhaps they are part of your travel group and they got them for your group, sorry just wondering)?

Cancellation tickets are popping up on the site, so you can absolutely keep checking for your dates, especially as you get closer. I am traveling in October 2017 and we are debating going -- and there have been tickets available each day we have looked. They are not the "cheaper" seats, though. They are usually the 140 GBP to 250 GBP for both performances seats.

We got them via the official site. I am going with my friend and her family. Her oldest daughter was the ticket gatherer. (Note. 3 people are going Saturday and 2 on Sunday and I think none of the seats are together)

Good news, everyone! I managed to find myself a ticket to part one and part two during my trip! I think I managed to scoop up a cancelled ticket, because it was the only one available. I can't wait! Thanks for all of your input.
