We are planning a family vacation in England this summer. Since there’s 4 adults and 2 children we thought we would do an apartment for our 6 days in London. Has anyone had any problems with Airbnb? We have looked thru the recommended Plumguide site and what’s available is not going to work for various reasons.

My 2 AirBnB stays have been fine. Single rooms in homes.
However, over the last 5 trips, I’ve stayed with friends or at Premier Inns.
For apartment stays besides AirBnB look at Citadines, VRBO or London Perfect.
My rule of thumb with on line rental sites are a minimum of 15 positive reviews, owner responds within 24 hours, only owns one property, shares exact address so you can use Google Maps street view to see the surrounding neighborhood.
Lastly, washers and dryers in the UK take forever. Be prepared to self wash clothes. Take light weight apparel. Forget jeans.

You might try Coach House Rentals: https://www.chsrentals.com/
We used them (back in 2011), and were very happy with the apartment, and with their personalized service. I would use them again.

We used Coach House rentals in the Fulham area of London 8 years ago for our family of four and were very pleased.

We have had excellent experiences renting from London Perfect twice. Our apts were in Chelsea and Kensington.
