We would like to take the London Eye while in the City; we know it's a ½ hour ride. We would like to go up in the light of day, If we take it at sunset approx. 8:36 p.m. (it is still fairly light at sunset) will it be dark by the time we finish?
Jean
This should help:
We are there the first week of May; so if I read Dave's timetable on May 6th sunset is 8:33p.m. so it would be dark at 9:12p.m?
Thanks,
Jean
We want to take the London Eye to see the view during light and again at dark! You can make out certain sites in the daylight that you can't in the dark but the view at night can be much prettier!
Sunset on May 6 is 8:33p.m. so I'm trying to book my ½ ride in both light & dark... I know, I know you might think it's nuts, but I did this with the Eiffel Tower & the Empire State Building and it's great to see both stages without booking 2 different trips!

Yes, that's how I read it. Very efficient there, Jean, and no, you're not nuts ;-)
Thanks Dave...
According to the very accurate http://www.timeanddate.com/sun/uk/london?month=5&year=2016 sunset is actually at 20:33, not 20:31. Civil twilight ends at 21:12.
