At the risk of sounding flippant have you undertaken any research into what to do in London? There is a wealth of information on the internet that will provide answers to your question about what to do with your son and a hell of a lot easier to read and absorb than trawling through multiple responses on here many of which will be from people whose experiences with an 11 year old will be from a long time ago if at all.

You know what your son would enjoy, we don't. I can tell you that my 11 year old son would absolutely love going to a show, my 13 year old would hate it (even at 11), he would much rather visit the Science Museum which my 11 year old would find boring. Not all kids enjoy the same things.

  1. You need to work out what your family wants to see and what the entry costs will be vs the cost of the London Pass. For most people, it’s not worth getting the pass. Be realistic about how much you can see in one day.

Many museums and galleries are free.

  1. Warner Bros closes at 7pm, so they will be back before 11pm.

Most museums and galleries will be open. What are your interests? Your son (and you) will probably enjoy the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden.

Most museums are open on Sunday however many will be closed by 5 or 6 pm.

Am I correct in assuming you'll be visiting this weekend?

Yes we will be visiting this Friday to Tuesday

The Harry Potter tour that we purchased departs at 3pm on Sunday and it says it’s 7hour trip

Agreed a bit of research on your own part instead of acting out as Blanche Dubois would have helped you answer your own questions.

Look at Timeout London online NOW.

Quite possible an 11 year old boy would enjoy the HMS Belfast, if neither of you are afraid of heights, the Tower Bridge Experience, the Imperial War Museum, London Transport Museum, all the buskers in Covent Garden, Natural History Museum, Cutty Sark, Madame Tussaud’s, Mudchute Farm, Brick Lane...

Loads of things to do.

Edit: and I forgot the Lord Mayors Parade is this Saturday. Position yourself by the Museum of London and you will see it all. https://lordmayorsshow.london

Please remember that it is Remembrance Sunday this week - and the 100 anniversary of the armistice. London will be very busy - especially around the monuments, churches and the Tower of London. The Tower has an amazing display of torches set alight by war veterans.
Fabulous time to be there, especially if your kids have an some understanding of the anniversary.

As to the pass, it is worthwhile if covers the places you want to go. You would have to list the sights you want to see with their prices and see if the pass saves you anything. Also look at the London Pass, a different product that covers a certain number of days, not sights.

Have you considered taking him to the theatre? He would probably would love The Lion King. Not knowing what your son likes it’s hard to recommend things to do. Walking through Notting Hill down Portobello Road is fun looking in the shops. Hanley’s toy store on Regent Street is fun to walk around in, it opened in 1760. Get your son a disposable camera (if he doesn’t have a camera) and let him walk around London taking pictures of whatever he thinks is cool. Walking through St James Park, Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens is fun. Take him to Trafalgar Square let him climb on the lions, St. Martins in the Field church is across from Trafalgar Square you could go there a do a brass rubbing.
There are many museums that you could go to.

Probably too late to get theatre tickets unless you are very lucky or willing to pay very large amounts.
