Good places to eat around Piccadilly Circus
What type of cuisine are you interested in? London has all different types of food.
If you’re more specific I’m pretty certain you’ll get some answers.
There are thousands of places to eat around Piccadilly Circus. As Claudia says, what cuisine? And what's our budget?
The Ritz is just down Piccadilly. They are renowned for their quality and service.
There is a Hard Rock Cafe in Coventry Street, not far from Eros. And a Five Guys in Great Windmill Street
If you're looking for a quick, healthy lunch, there is a Whole Foods just off Piccadilly Circus with prepared foods and tables. Cafeteria style.
You could always look for a pub and get some pub grub.
You'll find that many of the restaurants around Piccadilly Circus are geared towards tourists.
Not sure if you mean lunch or dinner. If lunch, the obvious and cheap answer is Pret - several on Piccadilly, one on Regent Street St James, to name a few.
Pubs are another option - I like the Golden Lion on King St (St James'). For a casual dinner, there's a Shoryu Ramen outlet and also a nice Uzbek restaurant called Oshpaz on Regent Street St James. A few doors down is a nice smart dinner place, Milos.
The Wolseley is the best place I know around Piccadilly. There's also Fallow, though I've never been there. I met someone who works there recently and he spoke enthusiastically about it.
Thanks for the replies. It would be for lunch and we like all kinds of food. That will be our first day in London so maybe it would be fun to do pub food not so much a touristy location.
Google maps is very good at listing restaurants, locate your hotel and then do a nearby search
5-10 minute stroll to Nando’s on Glasshouse street from Piccadilly Circus. Next door to Nando’s is the venerable Leicester Arms pub. Serves food.
Can’t go wrong with either spot.
I don't eat in such fancy locations but I googled Restaurants Piccadilly and this came up:
Cicchetti 215 Piccadilly. https://sancarlo.co.uk/restaurants/cicchetti-london-piccadilly/
They are of the Venietian theme of cicchetti, which, despite many trips to Venice, it took RS to teach me. And I travelled with someone whose family was from Sacile!
I may go there on our upcoming trip as it prices look okay but the menu looks great. The TripAdvisor review are excellent.
I also want to go to Fortnum & Mason. After living in London, and may trips in the near,y 40 years since, I have never been. As I said, I am not so fancy.
If you like Indian I highly recommend dishoom. They don't take reservations and there can be quite a line if you arrive at peak times. I think there are 5 dishoom locations around London.
I second what Jill said, Dishoom!
The easiest answer always is, find the nearest Pret. There's at least one on every street corner in London, or so it seems.
Along with Five Guys for some reason.
