Megabus have started doing London Bus Tours for £1. No human giving the commentary.

Sounds great, but Megabus were recently told to withdraw advertising around their £1 fare when it was shown that it was rare to find more than one seat available at that price.
This could be different but I work on the “no free lunch” principal.
it was rare to find more than one seat available at that price.
I think that's right. When I change the number of travelers from 1 to 2, the cheapest fare it shows is £4 - meaning the first person goes for £1 and the second goes for £3.
But even if you have to pay one of their higher fares - the highest I saw in a quick search was £9 - that's still not bad for a two-hour tour. Provided it's any good.
The ASA decision Mike mentioned related to their long-distance bus services. The pricing model on London tours might be more generous.
