Will be in London Early April with friend. Suggestions for comprehensive audio narrated boat tour for first day? Or audio tour apps available on phone while on Thames boat tour? Thanks

Really, no need to pre-reserve or stress. If I remember correctly, these are well-advertised and easy to walk-on the day of. We did one from Tower Bridge down to Westminster that was narrated (can’t recall line name, sorry) that we just bought tickets for on the fly.

I've taken Thames River Sightseeing cruises and really enjoy them. This company is recommended in the RS guidebook and they provide live narration, though I would not call it "comprehensive" rather, informative and engaging. The boats are very nice "with open and covered decks and a spacious lower saloon with panoramic windows offering the best views of London." They have a more limited timetable compared to others, but I think this is why they tend to be less crowded- at least in my experience.
