My husband and I are traveling for our 38th wedding anniversary in June and will be spending 3 nights (2days) in London.
I am finding it overwhelming to try to pick a place to stay. Does anyone have recommendations for Bed and Breakfasts or cozy hotels that are affordable for two (under 250 a night)? We would like be in a walkable neighborhood with some restaurant/pub options nearby and also within 15 minutes walking distance of a tube station to get to the sights of London. It's my first time to London. Also does can anyone recommend what your top sights/activities would be for a first trip to London with only 2 days?
Vancouver Studio Apartments, 63 Bayswater, Lime Tree or Premier Inns: County Hall, Victoria, Tower Bridge, Kings Cross, Euston.
Not knowing your interests I merely suggest what I think first timers should see in London:
Parliament Square
Watch changing of the Horse Guards at the Horse Guards Parade
Spitalfields Market
Shoreditch Wall Murals
British Museum
The Lime Tree on Ebury St might work for you. I see some rooms at 175GBP/night but did not go further to see what size they were. I last stayed here in 2018 and have stayed 3 or 4 previous times. There is no elevator and no AC. It is in a listed building from 1834 so there are a number of stairs to the top floor if that is where you are staying.

I'd consider how heat tolerant you are and when exactly in June you'll be going. If at the end of June I'd probably pick somewhere with AC.
We stayed here last spring, and are going again in early June this year: 122 Great Titchfield Street http://bb-london.co.uk/ . They have 2 smaller rooms with breakfast included, and an apartment “suite” with king size bed, full kitchen with some starter food and a Tesco grocery just around the corner, if you’re up for doing your own breakfasts (plus any other meals you like). Excellent restaurants/pubs nearby in Fitzrovia, and walkable to the British Museum and to SoHo locations, and tube is less than 10 minutes walk. Also, way less than €250 (or even $250) a night. Fill out their booking request on their We site, to see about room availability.
