London B and B

I posted last week about accommodations in London at the end of the summer. Since then, we've concluded that a B and B (or apartment) would best suit or needs.

Anyone aware of a particular place? Or a particular neighborhood?

Also, How reliable is Air B and B?

Thanks.

AirBnB is very reliable.

Used it more than once to find London accommodations.

I prefer the Bayswater/Nottinghill/holland Park/Shepards Bush neighborhoods but other prefer Earls Court, Victoria, Kensington,

I think you need to invest in the RS London book. Will help you understand London.

Better book soon though. I already have my Fall accommodations booked and you are traveling during peak travel months.

Lastly, use the Helpline search engine to generate possible apartment options for your stay.

Apartments are more expensive than you'd expect, so be warned! Premier Inns are reasonably priced hotels and you can get breakfast there for an additional supplement.

As Claudia mentioned, read up in Rick's London Guide on neighborhoods and the pros-and-cons. We've stayed near St. Paul's, in Westminster, and in SOHO. All were great locations but no one location is perfect as it is a very big city.

Check out the Jesmond Dene Hotel near Kings Cross station. Small B&B type hotel, no elevator (lift) full English Breakfast is extra.... but I have stayed here numerous times, location is perfect for walking and all metros and of course Kings Cross Station.
If you pay your bill in cash - I believe they still give you a discount.
