Husband and I are taking the Best of London Tour in late July 2026. After the tour ends, we plan on staying four extra days. During our extra time, we want to, among other things, attend two or three plays. We're currently considering:
- The Mousetrap at St. Martin's Theatre
- The Lion King at The Lyceum Theatre
- The Play That Goes Wrong at The Duchess Theatre
We're thinking about staying at the Premier Inn County Hall. Google Maps shows this hotel as being about a mile away from these theaters.
Would that hotel be close enough to walk back to after the show ends (probably around 10 p.m.)? Or should we plan on taking an Uber or taxi? Or is there a convenient bus or tram?
We have no problem walking 5+ miles. We will be wearing comfy walking shoes. Prefer not to walk through any "sketchy areas" at night. This will be our first visit to London.
Seeking advice on how to return to the hotel, or recommendations about other hotels that might be better situated to the theaters. (Prefer to stay under $850 per night for hotel if possible.) Thanks!
