London - Abbey/Tower/Eye Tickets?

Will be in London early July for 5 days with 2 teens on their first trip there. Is it advisable to book tickets ahead of time for Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London and the London Eye? Or is it relatively safe (i.e. ability to get in without too long a wait) on the spot? Also, are there other main London attractions that might require booking ahead of time?

Yes! For most places you have to stand in line to buy tickets and THEN stand in a security line. Get rid of the ticket line and it eliminates quite a bit of waiting! If you want to see any plays or shows you can book ahead if your heart is set on something...a play at the Globe for example...or you can go to the ticket kiosk the day of in Leicester Square and buy reduced price tickets. Not for The Globe though...those must be booked well in advance.
