How do you define "mid-priced" in GB pounds per night? That info will help responders provide useful suggestions.

150-250 GBP, preferably all 5 in one room/suite (could be 2 doubles and a sofa bed, if such a thing exists in London).

Look at Premeir Inns. They have several properties in London.
I think that you have to be realistic. 3 adults and 2 teenager = 5 adults when looking for lodging.

I think you are either looking at two rooms in a moderately priced place or an AirBNB rental. Your budget seems low for a suite, but could work for 2 rooms.

The Rhodes Hotel is a lovely place to stay, very British. A five minute walk to Lancaster Gate and a Paddington tube stations. Also, a few minutes walk to Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens.

Hi Wolfie:
Take a look at Premier Inn. I stayed at the Premier Inn Waterloo with my daughter. It was one of the most economical hotels
I could find. Not fancy, but it was nice. We even had a view of the London Eye from our room. One room choice is a family room. It has a large bed for 2 adults with a separate 'daybed' style bed. This worked well for us. Also they offer a buffet breakfast which is free for kids under 16.

Have fun.

There is a family room at London House Hotel. You can see a picture of it on their website and see if you think it will do.

I second the London House Hotel. I stayed there last year and going to stay there this year. It is in Bayswater, near two tube stations and you can walk to Kensignton Palace. It has family rooms and is mid priced.

Premier Inn has good rates if you book in advance, no refunds are available. For 5 people, including two teenagers, I'd suggest getting two rooms for sanity's sake.

I'd get two rooms for the two bathrooms and a bit of privacy.
