The East Coast Main Line is closed for engineering work on all Saturdays and Sundays in March between York and Newcastle.
This will affect all operators on the route- LNER, Lumo, Cross Country, Trans Pennine Express, Grand Central and Northern Trains.
Express and all stations Rail Replacement buses will be provided at frequent intervals, and LNER (only) will run a restricted diverted service via the Durham Coast (Sunderland and Hartlepool), adding up to 90 minutes to journey times.
Additionally on Sunday 15 March the route will be closed between Peterborough and Kings Cross/Moorgate. Rail replacement buses will be in place between Peterborough and Bedford (for Thameslink and East Midlands Trains services to London), also all stations to Alexandra Palace, for TfL buses into central London (only paper rail tickets are valid on TfL buses)
