Liverpool time

We arrive Liverpool around 11:00am on September 21st. We will check into our flat and park the car probably freeing us up around 1:00pm.
I have tickets to Beatles Story and then a show at the Cavern Club at 8:00pm.

The 22nd we do the Trust tour of the homes of John/Paul at 10:00am, then 2:00pm tickets to the British Music Experience followed by a show at the Cavern Club (6:19pm).

So, after all that, when and how is the best way to take in Strawberry Field and Penny Lane?
Also the church where John and Paul meet (with Elenore grave).

I’d do the Magical Mystery tour. I’ve done it 4 times. You will get a stop at both Penny Lane and Strawberry Field as well as George Harrison’s childhood house and Paul McCartney’s childhood house (outside only). It will drive by the church but there is no stop there.
It leaves from the area right next to the Beatles Story on Albert Dock.

Feel free to ask any additional Liverpool or Beatles questions, I’ve been to Liverpool 7 times, most recently in May.

If you decide not to do the MMT, you could just drive and find parking near Penny Lane on side streets. I stayed in an Airbnb near there, and it was fairly easy driving in the neighborhoods there.

I also drove to St. Peter's church and parked nearby to explore the graveyard, etc.

Rc, it’s not a hop on hop off and you wouldn’t be able to get off there. At the stopping points, everyone gets off, takes their photos, and then gets back on, there’s no option to wait for the next bus. The tour guide points it out around midway through the tour.
