Live classic or pops orchestra in London 2nd week of October

Will be in London the second week of October and would love to attend a live performance of classical or pop orchestra. I'm also open to string quartet or chamber music. Genuine classical or orchestral scores. I think you get the feel for what I'm after.

There doesn't appear to be anything that falls in my interest or time frame at Royal Albert Hall, London Palladium, or by the London City Orchestra. I'm sure I'm missing something.

At the Barbican, the Britten Sinfonia and the Will Gregory Moog Ensemble looks promising.

FWIW, I've been hooked on watching the London Metropolitan tape the score of the Endeavour finale.

Have you looked at London Symphony or London Philharmonic orchestras? The Wigmore Hall specializes in recitals, string quartets etc.

St Martin In The Fields is much loved by many on here and they do some lunchtime concerts too.

It must be Baroque week in the big smoke :)

The Palladium isn't known as a classical venue.

edit: I somehow read second week as first week in October...
