We're doing a 5-week England, Wales, Paris trip this summer. From York we are going to Paris. But first, we want to stop in Lincoln for about 4 hours. In no way do we want to lug our luggage around Lincoln. I've done the Google search, and can't find a thing about lockers at the train station. Does anyone know of a hotel near the train station that will accommodate us?
I don't think there are any hotels in the area that would let you leave your luggage without being a guest.
Go to the Visitor Centre. I am sure that they might oblige in putting your stuff in a storeroom.

"and can't find a thing about lockers at the train station."
"Lockers" were removed from train stations some years ago thanks to the IRA and various other people that wanted to blow us up.
Lincoln's Visitor Centre is at the top of the very steep hill (or longer taxi ride). You could contact them online and ask them the question in advance, or look for a friendly tea shop or other business closer to the train station. That is a busy shopping district, and Britain has a pretty long-standing program of being suspicious of unattended bags, so they may not be so open to your request.
I have read about a Left Luggage service at King's Cross's train station and some of the larger tube stations. It appears to be run by humans with hours like between 7 am and 11 pm.
Anyone else know anything about it??
Thanks,

Thanks for the replies. We're going to alter our plans and leave York in the early evening to go to Lincoln. We'll take in the Lincoln sites the next morning (leaving luggage at the hotel). Problem solved.
