Light at Stonehenge at 6:45 pm on April 18, 2024

My question is if we do the late Stone Circle Experience at 6:45 pm at that time of year is it light enough to see the stones? Thanks for your help in advance

Followed your advice and looked at the 2023 times and it appears that the sunset is not until after the tour is over. Thanks

On April 18th sunset is 19.11, so the short anser is yes.

Looking at the column labelled Golden Hour pm, this ends at 19.40. This is also referred to as the “magic hour,” and is the hour around sunset. It is popular with professional photographers as tthis time provides the perfect light to capture stunning photos. So it looks as if you have chosen the best time for the late Stone Circle Experience - especailly if it is a clear sky.

Hopefully that means you can still be there for sunset. We were there for sunrise in September 2022 and it was fantastic.

if you take the link provided and change the location to Winchester which is the nearest city, on the 18th April this year you will see sunset is at 20:06, six after 8, 75 minutes after your tour starts. How long does it last?

Presumably the reason for the 1 hour time difference between Wasleys charts and Nigel's is British Summer Time, not that either chart states that is their time zone.
But you can check manually. Today it is about 4.30pm. It advances by about 1 minute 45 seconds per day About 90 days between now and then=160 minutes or 2 hours 40 minutes. Add the one hour 'leap forward' of the clocks on Easter Day, and you get to around 8.15pm.
