Are you wanting to make a reservation for Windsor Castle? Are you staying overnight in Windsor so you have a place to drop your bags?

Sorry I wasn’t clear. On May 7, we land at LHR at noon, put our bags in bag check at the airport, and head to Windsor since we can’t check into our hotel yet. I was wondering what would be a safe time for reservations to tour the castle. And, what would be the best way to get to Windsor. I’m assuming train but don’t have a clue how to do that. Thanks for any advice.

The answers you need are on your other thread.

In that thread, Nigel, isn31c, and myself have given you a variety of ways to travel from Heathrow to Windsor.
The "best" way to travel to Windsor might be by taxi, as suggested on the other thread.

"I’m wondering best way to travel to Windsor and what time should we make reservation for? "

What are you making reservations for?
If it's Windsor Castle, I think two hours after your arrival at the airport is good.

I don’t come on very often and couldn’t find my post from last year to review the advice on it. Thank you for your help.

P.S. Do not put your bags into storage at the airport. Take them with you to Windsor.
There is storage available at Windsor Castle and also at a "Stasher" location in Windsor.

From my posting on your other thread:

Take your bags with you to Windsor.
There is a luggage storage facility, Stasher, located at 24 - 28 St Leonard's Road, Windsor, at "Mailboxes Etc.", a business.

If you are going to Windsor Castle, their website says this:
"Whilst you are in the Castle you can leave your luggage in the cloakroom free of charge but it must be collected before you leave."

From "Visit Windsor":

Why would you want to have to backtrack to the airport from Windsor before continuing on to London? That would be bad planning indeed.

By the way, it might be a good idea to spend one night in Windsor.
It's a lovely town, with lots to see besides the castle. Good hotels and restaurants, coffee shops and pubs there. Medieval buildings to see. Walk around town and down to the river to see the swans. Take a boat ride and see the castle from the river--lovely view of it. Walk across the bridge and visit Eton.

You could easily make a slight change to your London hotel reservation (take off the first night) and choose a one night stay at one of the many nice hotels in Windsor.
