We are traveling to LHR next week and meeting relatives at the airport. We arrive at the same time but in different terminals. We are on United (T2) and they are on Delta (T3). Looks like both terminals use the same metro station at LHR. Assuming everything goes as planned and we arrive at the same time, where is a good place to meet in the T2/T3 tube station at LHR?

There is an underground walkway between the two terminals. You could, sensibly, meet outside the entrance to the tube station. However, there is no place to really sit as you would just have to wait on the side. And there is no place to wait once inside the station. (As you enter, you immediately go down to the platforms.)
My suggestion is for one of you to go to the other terminal. I find the coffee places at T2 less crowded than T3. The distance from the tube station to T2 is only about a 5 minute walk.
BTW, it's not called the metro. That's Paris. It's referred to as either the Underground or the Tube.
