LHR hotel advice

My flight from France likely arrives at T3. I have a flight out the next morning, 10:05 departure, also from T3.

The Aerotel at T3 is approximately $266; the Hilton Garden Inn is $234. I've stayed at the Premier Inn at T4 before and current price there for a night is under $100.

I can't see paying $266 when there is a much cheaper option available. Am I correct in that I could use the Heathrow Hoppa bus to get to and from T3 and the Premier Inn?

Information on this option, or others, greatly appreciated.

Many thanks!

You can take a free train from T3 to T4. Elizabeth Line, then walk the covered walkway to the Premier Inn, past the Hilton and the Holiday Inn Express and Crowne Plaza. Then in the morning the same in reverse.

I have never used the bus - I know some buses do circulate the airport but I have always used the train. Get a free ticket from the machine.

From T3, you can get the Elizabeth Line for free to get to T4. You request a free transfer ticket. But then you walk.

You could take the Hotel Hoppa bus. It goes from T3 to a stop outside the Premier Inn at T4 but it will cost you 6.80 GBP for a single ticket or 12 GBP for a return.

Do not consider the Underground as it involves a transfer at Hatton Cross outside Heathrow.

What we did just last September was stay at the Ibis Styles London Heathrow (https://all.accor.com/hotel/9714/index.en.shtml). We took a cab from T3 to the hotel (about GBP 12), and then a regular bus from the stop just across the street to T3 the next morning (GBP 2).

The same plan would work with many of the hotels along Bath Road, but we chose Ibis Styles for (a) proximity to the terminal and a bus stop; (b) price; and (c) its a nice hotel.

What I would NOT do is: (a) stay at a T4 hotel if my flights are from T3 (its at least a 20 minute drive); or (b) use Hotel Hoppa (its barely cheaper than cab if you are two or more persons, and even if cheaper you usually have to stop at several hotels before you get to yours.

Well, duh. Why did I miss that option. I used the Elizabeth line last year!

It would be the westbound schedule to go from T2/3 to T4 and then the eastbound schedule to T4 to T2/3, correct?

I have a late arrival at T3 (10:45pm) so I'm checking the schedule for the Elizabeth line.

You might want to price the Holiday Inn Express, which is a bit closer to T4 than the Premier Inn. I stayed there earlier this year and had a very good experience, and I think the cost was slightly under $100 at the time. Plus it includes breakfast.

We've also stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at T4, and loved it. The room was small, but spotless and thoughtfully laid out. The staff was helpful, and the breakfast very good.

We've stayed there twice, and should we have to fly out of HLR again, we would gladly stay there again.

Another vote for the Holiday Inn Express T4. Stayed there in 2023 and have another stay this spring scheduled.

Thanks for the info about the HI Express. It's running about $112 for the date we will be there in April.
