I'm looking for a convenient airport hotel - convenient to getting to Terminal 3 for early morning flight. It doesn't have to be fancy - mainly convenient.
I'll be using this hotel at LHR the night before my early flight back to NY in November - https://www.google.com/maps/place/Hilton+Garden+Inn+London+Heathrow+Terminals+2+and+3/@51.4701659,-0.4543413,17.25z/data=!4m18!1m8!3m7!1s0x47d8a00baf21de75:0x52963a5addd52a99!2sLondon,+UK!3b1!8m2!3d51.5072178!4d-0.1275862!16zL20vMDRqcGw!3m8!1s0x48767364f9418c69:0x70e062c4eefc1fed!5m2!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d51.4698001!4d-0.4535546!16s%2Fg%2F11h62t63fs
The Hilton Garden Inn above can't be beaten for convenience - you can walk to the terminal from it.
There will be cheaper options but they will require a bus or taxi to get to and from the airport.
I agree with Steven....that hotel is actually at Terminal 2 but it's just a few minutes walk. I'll be back--twice--at that hotel --next month. It's quiet and clean. Flying in and out of Terrminal 3.
The Hilton's entrance is actually in the parking garage of T2. No signs until you get to the entrance of the garage.
There is also an Aerotel at Terminal 3. I have not stayed there but I hear it's not as nice as the Hilton.
Have also stayed at the Hilton attached to the airport.
Yes, you don't see the signs for the Hilton Garden Inn until you actually walk into the parking garage.
I stayed there last week and in December. Took a lot of stress out of catching a midday flight!
I, too, fly out of Heathrow's terminal 3 and vote for Hilton Garden Inn Terminal 2. Has easy access to Terminal 3. Note: this is a different hotel from the Hilton at Terminal 4.
HGI T2 is very convenient for T2 and T3. But I find it is totally lacking in any charm. It is just a blah style that I’ve run into at Gatwick too. Serves its purpose though. The Hilton at T4 is much nicer in my humble opinion. If time and budget permits I would much rather stay there.
