Thameslink to Blackfriars then District line to Aldgate East, per the last comment on your previous Heathrow post. Into London you are contra the peak flow, and on the tube it's only 5 stops.
If you prefer taxi it from Blackfriars, or bus #15 will get you closer to the hotel than Aldgate East station is.
