I visited a few years ago and had a wonderful time. You may want to combine it with Sambourne House, which is 10 minutes away on foot. I believe there is a small discount for the combined ticket.

The house itself is quite small, but exquisite. The art is mostly Pre Raphaelite, and beautiful, if that is your taste.

Leighton House is lovely, especially the Arab Hall. Often there are special exhibitions, both of Victorian and contemporary art.

Yes, we were there in June. A very lovely place to visit - charming neighborhood - especially of interest to design and art enthusiasts. It took us about an 60-90 minutes to explore the house fully.

Leighton House is very nice but it is quite small. If you're in the area you can also visit Sambourne House (as noted above- former home of cartoonist Linley Sambourne, the home is as he left it in the early 1900s, conserved by his relative Lord Snowden, ex husband of Princess Margaret) as well as the Design Museum. You can also visit Holland Park and see some interesting homes from the outside- Freddy Mercury's former home (tho you can't see much behind the wall), where I believe his ex-gf still lives, and Jimmy Page's amazing home, The Tower House- I recommend looking up some of the interior photos as it's quite a place: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tower_House
