Legoland--London: Is it worth it?

Hi, Everyone,

I will be in London in mid-June with a 7-yr old boy for 7days/6nights. I saw that there is a LEGOLAND in the area. My questions are:
Is it worth going if my son has been to the LEGOLAND in Florida in 2013?
How would I get there from London /Waterloo station using public transportation?

Also, my son is an only child. Is there a place to go where he can naturally meet other kids? He can make friends anywhere as long as there are lots of kids playing and not in a rush to go anywhere. Will hanging out in a public park be sufficient for this?

Thanks in advance for your responses!

A wild guess is that Legoland is Legoland.

I had the runts in London a while back and took them out to the playground in the northwest corner of Kensington Gardens. There were groups of school kids there and our rascals fit right in.

When I took my 11 and 8 year olds we drove, but I found directions for you here: http://www.legoland.co.uk/Plan/Directions/

The favorite part for my two was driving on the "wrong" side of the road at the driving school. they had never been to a Legoland, so "your mileage may vary." We all take part in the planning. It's been my experience that someone who knows he had his "day to choose" will tolerate your choice of, say, a cathedral. So help him discover many interesting things to do and choose among them. My favorite resources included two books, "Once Upon a Time in Great Britain" and "Taking Your Kids to Europe."

We also hung out in public parks and had a great time. I'm not sure but it's possible that school will still be in session in the UK and if so you'll see more children in the parks in late afternoon and of course weekends.

Have a great time!

Did he LOVE Legoland in Florida?

Marty is right - school will still be in session.

My friend's grandchildren, including an 8 year old boy, agreed that The Tower was their favorite sight in London.
