Can we visit both Leeds Castle and Sissinghurst gardens as a one day trip from Canterbury?
Have you got a car or are you dependent on public transport?
Theoretically it is possible if you have a car BUT a lot depends on how long do you plan on spending at each place. Leeds Castle opens at 10am so it would make sense to do that first. It is recommended to allow 3-4 hours, but you could cut that down by not doing the gardens and grounds, but factor in it is quite a walk from the car park to the castle - say 15 minutes. eac h way.
Once back at the car it will take 30+ minutes to drive between the two. Last entry at Sisinghurst is 4.45 and it closes at 5.30. It is recommended to allow 90 minutes for a visit. Some people take a lot longer!
You also need to factor in something to eat at lunchtime too?
So it could end up as a rushed day.
