My wife and I are planning a road trip in Great Britain. Due to Brexit Auto Europe no longer covers Great Britain. Does anyone have any experience with an auto leasing company in Great Britain? Thank you in advance for suggestions.

Beg pardon, but AutoEurope is alive and well in the UK. Just tried a couple of dummy bookings that went thru fine. What particular issue are you having with the website?

I called Rick Steves Europe as well as the leasing agent I used in France for a trip in 2018 and both indicated they no longer service Great Britain because of Brexit. Please leave the contact info and I will follow up. Thanks

Check out Autoeurope.com as well as autoeurope.co.uk.

Please note that I wish to lease not rent. Auto Europe notes on their lease page that due to Brexit they are no longer able to lease or allow their cars in Great Britain. But thanks anyway.

I have heard of people leasing cars in France but I wasn’t aware that this has ever been offered in the U.K.

I'm assuming it was because it is suggested for travelers wanting a car for longer than 21 days to consider leasing in both Rick Steves Great Britain (21st edition) and England (seventh edition).

In 2014 I needed a car for six weeks in the UK . The solution was to take two 21 day reservations back to back . I don't recall which company I rented from , but it was either Hertz or Avis .
