Layover visit to Windsor Castle

Question- We are going to Mauritius and have layover in London. Arrive 9/25 1020am LHR and depart 9pm LGW. If there a reasonable way to visit Windsor Castle during our layover. We will have our luggage since we a switching airports.

Taking account of the time to get through customs and immigration at LHR, travelling to LGW and at least two hours advance check in, with luggage, I'd suggest a car service from LHR to Windsor and LGW.
Anything else would seem too stressful.

even that is asking for trouble.

That one hour ride on the M25 to Gatwick at peak rush hour can easily turn into 2 or more. It is one great big car park.

10:30, out of the airport at 11:30, maybe noon with luggage, 30 to 60 minutes to Windsor Castle puts us at lunch time. Do you want lunch? You have to be moving at 6 - do you want dinner? So maybe 3 hours at Windsor Castle? What will you do with your luggage between drivers? Or will you pay your driver for all that time to drive around with your luggage?

If you were going straight to Gatwick you could use the coach which connects the two airports, or you could Elizabeth Line to Farringdon and connect directly onto Thameslink and have a few hours in tourist London if you can stash the luggage...
