Laundry on Southern England RS Tour

We are doing this tour late August, any recommendations to do laundry? On the Portugal RS we paid the nuns to do halfway thru tour, just wondering if anything like that on this tour.

At your first group meeting your tour guide usually has suggestions.

When I did this tour in 2022, none of the hotels offered laundry service. I went to a laundromat in Salisbury.
The guidebook lists laundromats in each town.

I was also on that tour in 2022, and myself and a few other tour members went to a laundromat in Salisbury. I also packed some laundry detergent and foldable hangers for hand washing in the hotels.

It was a fantastic tour!! Happy travels!

Laundromats are called laundrettes in Britain. There is a website that can tell you where each one is located.

No such thing as a laundromat, it’s a laundrette.
Just put laundrette into Google Maps. You’ll usually find a few in the bigger cities. Most will be old style (very old style in a lot of cases!) so bring lots of coins or be prepared to run out to a local shop for change. There might be an old dear on site (look for an old lady probably standing outside smoking and wearing a tabard). She might or might not help you with change. Looking at about £7 or £8 for a load of self service washing and drying.
Don’t expect too many helpful nuns wandering around!
