Laundry Mats? How to find a good one?

Hi all! I'm in London! Woohoo!
Today we are moving to Oxford and sadly I don't think our next hotel has a washing machine.

I've resorted to doing my laundry in my sink which has kind of worked so far. Does anyone know of any good laundromats near Heather House in Oxford?
Or should I just continue doing my laundry in the sink?

Thanks! MH

I was curious when I read this, I thought a "Laundry Mat" must be some thing you put on the floor to stop your laundry getting dirty.
Yes, it is a "launderette", though sometimes the first e is not pronounced: "laund'rette".
Google "launderette Oxford", lots of hits.

I think I remember the word "laundromatte" or maybe just laundromat, from a long time ago, which has evolved to "laundry mat" for some. Not the first time this misnomer has been seen on this forum.
