Last Minute Heathrow Express from Paddington Prices?

I'm leaving from the Paddington area tomorrow at noon to catch a 4PM flight at Heathrow

I didn't book an advance Heathrow Express ticket for my wife and I because I didn't know about it before my trip. I assumed there was a cheap Train or something going into the city

Anyway....I just looked online and it appears the tickets will cost me 60 Pounds or more...even with a Two together railcard. Is that right? That seems very pricey to me.

Maybe I should catch an Uber as that appears to be a lot cheaper?

Thanks

well there's TFL, same route as Heathrow Express just a bit less express, for less money.

Or the Tube for a little longer and a lot less.

At noon the ticket office walk-up fare for a single in 'express' class is £22. With the Two Together card you would get a 34% discount, so around £29 for the two of you. If you went on the TfL rail service instead, it would be £13.90. On the Underground it would be £6.20, but this would take quite a bit longer and require change at Earls Court.

£25 is the peak time fare applicable 0630 – 0930 and 1600 – 1900.

To save money, take the TFL train from Paddington to Heathrow. It takes 30 minutes and stops a few times but it only costs around 11 pounds each and you can use your Oyster card to pay.

Thanks guys...
I didn't realize that I could take the tube from Royal Oak station and simply change at Hammersmith to the Piccadilly line which took me to Heathrow. I did that and it only took about an hour and cost me and my wife total about 6 pounds. Thanks again for ya'lls help!
