I'm not familiar with flight arrivals from Jersey. If Iand at Gatwick at 10:45am, what would be a reasonable cushion to leave for catching a train? The flight could be delayed, I realize as well. I'll try to find their on time record. But generally, without a big delay.....how quickly can one get to a train (carry on luggage).

30 or 40 mins, but so many variables, just get ticket when you arrive.
I originally planned on that, but the price difference was soooo large. But maybe better safe than sorry. Thx!

the only ticket you may wish to pre-book is the leg from Kings Cross to Peterborough. At Gatwick just buy a walk-up ticket to St Pancras.
Flights from the Channel Islands can be badly affected by fog. It can be bad in the mornings which has an impact on flights through the day. Just a warning! You’ll probably be fine, but people who use the flights regularly realise that they have to go with the flow.
Totally agree, we are seriousls used to delays, its part and parcel of living on an island, waste of money to pre book tickets, we never do.
Also what train? Are you talking about Gatwick Express?
