We will be taking the train from Edinburgh to Kings Cross London and need advice on best ways to get from the train station to the hotel in the Belgravia area. Is it better for the Tube or taxi better? Approximate time will be mid-day during the week.

Yup, for "best" we need the answers to the questions that Kim asked. Also - Belgravia is a big place. Where in Belgravia?
In addition to Kim's questions - first time to London or repeat? Any mobility issues? You ask tube or taxi. Is there a reason you are ruling out bus?

We'll be staying at the Lime Tree Inn in Belgravia (Rick Steves recommended). Didn't think of the bus but possible. If needed I'd pay more for less travel time.
