Kid friendly restaurants in London

My husband and I will be leaving for London in two weeks. We are taking our 10 year old and 15 month old as we’ll as my mom. We need restaurant suggestions that are family friendly. We are staying in Pimlico so around there or within walking distance. Also looking for lunch spots near covenant garden, Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. Thanks!

The culture in London ( the U.K.) is far different the the US.

Pubs are family friendly and the food is good. Enjoy a Sunday roast at one.

Often there are lunch deals. Look for the sandwich boards on the sidewalks that advertise the deals. Dinners are fine as well, fish and chips, burgers, salads, soups, etc.

Pizza Pilgrams, Nandos, Rossopomodoro, Wagamamas, Chilango and Dishoom. Also explore the food stalls at Bourough, Brick Lane and Camden Lock markets.

Picnic in the parks by stopping at Pret a Mangers

Hopefully everyone’s taste buds will appreciate new experiences

We really enjoyed pizza express and wagamamas as more family friendly restaurants

While in London, our family lived in Pret a Manger ("ready to eat") and they are on every other street corner. Easy, quick premade sandwiches, salads, drinks. Not too much customization, most are premade and you pick it up and bring it to the cashier, some have seats/tables. Bread/rolls are great!

They also have killer chocolate chip cookies if you are able to get them---they run out fast!

Enjoy your vacation---precious memories.

Marks&Spencer grocery stores also have big and decent quality ‘grab and go’ prepared food sections. Museums and the like also tend to have reasonably good cafe areas with options for all ages
