Hi there - there are quite a number of nice holiday apartments and B&B's in the Kennington (not Kensington) area of London. Does anyone have any info on this area? I see it's got good access to the city which makes it appealing. Thank you.
Thanks Emma! Thanks for the clarification of "the city" - yes I meant the general city. The area where the flat is located is a street over from the Kennington tube station and close to Kennington Park - in between the two.
Have you checked that there is nothing on the Oval?
Hi Nigel - sorry, I don't know what you mean by the Oval.
Thanks rambling-on for the link on The Oval. Not being cricket fans, I suppose that's why I didn't know! Really appreciate all the replies - sounds like it would be a fine area to park ourselves for 6 nights.
Wouldn't be somewhere I'd stay. Get a simpler place in a nicer area.
There's also the Aviva Studios very close to the Hammersmith Tube Station off the A315. Would this be a better situated area than Kennington? Thank you.
Thanks Emma! I was questioning myself as everyone I know who has been to London has heard of Hammersmith but not of Kennington. That's what I love about this forum, we get advice from folks who live in these cities!
