K+K Hotel George Kensington in London

Stayed at this hotel, which was recommended in the London guide, in May 2023 and loved it. Friends are planning a trip to London with us in a few months, but from what I can see online, the hotel is shown as “ temporarily closed” and the web address I had is no longer active. Does anyone know what the story is?

Thanks for all the replies. Will find another place to stay this time around and maybe see if the hotel has reopened when we come over in 2026 to stay for a few days before joining UK friends on a walking tour of the Cotswalds

It was the same, showing closed, when I researched it last October for a possible stay this May. I don't recall seeing anything about a reopening date, or even anything to confirm whether they would be reopening.

There are messages on a couple of search sites which suggest that the hotel will be closed from 4/1/24 to 4/1/25. I tried to book a couple of dates in early and mid 2025 and the search came back as sold out but I suspect that booking has not as yet re-started for a reopening in January.

note that there are no K+K properties in the UK on the K+K website

What’s your budget?

Any issues with stairs?

Have you researched the Premiere Inn, Doubletree, Residence Inn and Marriot websites?
